Job summary

Gateway Community & Technical College, part of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System, seeks a Dual Credit Secondary Site Specialist to support off-site dual credit operations and partnerships.

You'll coordinate enrollment, credentialing, and course offerings with high schools, while ensuring high-quality student experiences and timely reporting to internal and external partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 4–6 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.
  • Experience engaging students from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

  • Advise and support secondary site dual credit operations for a coordinated student experience.
  • Coordinate enrollment, information flow, and credentialing with HS faculty and schools.
  • Maintain course offerings off-site and provide reporting to partners.
  • Collaborate with ECO Director and Deans to develop needed courses.
  • Update academic program information shared with partners.
  • Provide admissions, advising, and registration for off-site classes.
  • Maintain accurate student records and assist with admissions services (EdReady, etc.).
  • Assist students and schools with access to admission services and load dual credit students as needed.
  • Support ECO students and community members with admission processes and FAFSA workshops.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Advises and supports the operations of secondary site dual credit opportunities and works directly with secondary partners and students to ensure a coordinated, high-quality student experience.

Job Duties:
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to support student enrollment at the High School or secondary sites.
  • The liaison to all parts of the process from initial information, setting up courses and working with schools/students to ultimately enroll. This includes working with the Academic Affairs department to get HS faculty credentialed and current.
  • Manage the courses offered off-site and provides reporting and updates to internal and external partners.
  • Works with the Director of ECO and Deans to create courses that are needed.
  • Responsible for the updating of academic program information for all courses and sharing the information with the partners.
  • Responsible for providing general admission, advising and registration services to students and prospective students enrolled in classes off-site;
  • Maintains accurate student records by assisting students in completing all necessary paperwork for enrolling into the ECO.
  • Assist students/schools with understanding where to access the additional admission services (EdReady, etc.) when needed, including carrying a load of traditional dual credit students as needed.
  • Assists seniors who are ECO students and community members with understanding the GCTC college admission process and provides information on other student support services that may be needed such as: Financial Aid FAFSA workshops, Admissions HS and GCTC transcript requests.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 4-6 years of relevant experience
  • High attention to detail, independent, self-motivated, adaptable to fast-paced environments.
  • Skilled in engaging and supporting students from diverse different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Professional and courteous communication at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Clear verbal and written skills.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, ability to work independently and adapt seamlessly to fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Skilled in engaging and supporting students from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Forms, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6 to 8 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in secondary education or dual credit partnerships would be preferred but not mandatory
Additional Skills Requested:

Lifting will be minimal. Examples would be boxes of recruitment material or swag to be used at the schools.
