Job summary
A leading defense contractor in Arlington, VA is seeking a Travel Management Specialist to enhance travel support through the Defense Travel System. This role involves providing daily support for travel requirements, preparing authorizations, and ensuring proper usage of travel systems. The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS and 5 years' experience in travel management along with capabilities in customer service and problem-solving. An active Secret Clearance is also required. - Advanced knowledge of and experience with DTS.
- Current active Secret Clearance.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily Defense Travel System (DTS) support for all travel requirements.
- Prepare and review travel authorizations and vouchers.
- Track and support the entire lifecycle of a trip in DTS.
Skills
Working knowledge of Defense Travel System (DTS)
Understanding of Defense Joint Travel Regulations
Familiarity with travel authorization and voucher processing
Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple travel requests and prioritize tasks
Education
BA/BS degree and 5 years of experience in travel management
AA/AS degree with 5 years of experience
GED/Diploma with 10 years of experience
