Job summary
Trane Technologies plc in Kentucky is seeking a DTO I designer to help design mechanical and electrical components for commercial air handling systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integrated, high-quality designs.
The role requires 2–4 years in mechanical design, a related associate degree, and CAD fluency (Creo, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit). You will work onsite Monday–Thursday, with Friday flexibility and a competitive benefits package.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Drafting, Design Technology, or related field.
- 2–4 years of mechanical design experience.
- Proficiency with CAD software and standard office tools.
Responsibilities
- Create designs and drawings for mechanical and electrical parts using CAD software.
- Develop knowledge of drafting standards and processes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to meet project specs.
- Review technical documents, schematics, and design intents.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
- Be customer-driven, innovative, and quality-minded.
- Work both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
