Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or ITSM with 8+ years in Infrastructure Support; OR advanced degree with 5+ years in Infrastructure Support; OR associates with 10+ years in Infrastructure Support; OR 12+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with IT infrastructure components: desktops, servers, storage, WAN/LAN/WLAN.
  • US citizenship required for access to restricted systems.

We have an exciting opportunity with our Pratt & Whitney Digital Technology (DT) team as a DT Associate Infrastructure Site Lead.

The position will be based onsite at our facilities in East Hartford, Connecticut.

What You Will Do

You will be part of our Site Infrastructure Services team The main objective is to assist the Infrastructure Site lead and serve as a point of contact for infrastructure-related services.

Will lead at a site level, from site specific to enterprise led initiatives and will require collaboration with local management, vendors, and other Digital Technology teams.

Be responsible for all IT Infrastructure components at the site; including but not limited to desktops, servers, storage, WAN, LAN and wireless LAN.

Work with and lead approved vendors to deliver world-class infrastructure services to all employees & contractors at the site.

Deliver local infrastructure projects on time and on budget.

Be a self-starter, able to work independently, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Ensure that site infrastructure complies with laws, industry best practices, Raytheon Technologies and Pratt & Whitney policies, and architectural standards.

Fully document all work performed. Facilitate local audits and ensure corrective actions are completed on time.

Work with business partners to design specific solutions that meet the needs of the local business.

Act as an escalation point for any infrastructure issues.

Provide in-depth root cause analysis when necessary.

Perform other duties and special projects as required.

The position requires strong teamwork, communication and technical project management. Collaboration with site management, outsourced IT partners, customers, security, compliance officials and other members of the DT organization is essential.

A strong desire to continue to learn and remain on the forefront of relevant technologies is essential.

DT advocate / champion / coordinator for enterprise infrastructure initiatives/deployments (Zoom, O365, AD Rollouts, etc).

Sponsor & oversight of local DT contractors.

Up to 10% business travel possible.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Information Technology Service Management, with 8+ years of experience in Infrastructure Support; OR an Advanced degree with 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure Support; OR an Associated Degree and 10+ years of experience in Infrastructure Support; OR in lieu of a degree, 12+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experienced in skills and technologies outlined in the “What You Will Do” section above.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow or other similar Service Desk tools.
  • Experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Project Management certifications with a history of delivering IT projects on time and on budget, and the ability to recognize areas for process improvement.
  • Excellent customer service skills required providing a high level of service to satisfy/fulfill internal or external needs accurately in a timely manner.
  • Ability to communicate business needs and interpret high level business requirements, and liaise between business customers, technology teams and support teams.
  • Experience generating documentation, standard work policies and procedures.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies & take on new projects to grow experience.
  • Ability to work in a high energy, fast paced environment, able to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Highly self-directed and able to learn quickly with a solid ability to drive and deliver results.
  • Strong analytical skills, demonstrated organizational and leadership skills, examples of effective teamwork, a track record of consistently meeting deadlines and due dates.
  • Superb communication skills, written and verbal, with ability communicate in a clear and concise manner across various levels of the organization.
  • Six-Sigma, Process Improvement, Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) or CORE Associate Certification is preferred along with a proven track record of cost savings and continuous improvement accomplishments.
  • Executive presentation experience and comfortable interacting with senior executive leadership. Lead, facilitate and manage change effectively.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
