Job summary

The Blackstone Group L.P. seeks an experienced professional to serve as a primary product specialist for 1031 exchange-eligible real estate strategies within its Private Wealth platform in San Francisco.

You will focus on Delaware Statutory Trust offerings and potential 721 UPREIT structures. You will educate investors and financial advisor partners on 1031 exchanges, DSTs, and related investment structures, providing timely responses to complex inquiries and working with cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in asset management, investment banking, consulting, or wealth management with focus on private real estate.
• Deep understanding of 1031 exchanges and tax-deferred real estate investment structures for high-net-worth investors.
• FINRA Series 7 & (63/65 or 66) required; MBA and/or CFA preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary product specialist for 1031 exchange-eligible real estate strategies within Private Wealth, focusing on DST offerings and 721 UPREIT potential.
• Act as a technical resource on 1031 exchange structures, eligibility, mechanics, tax considerations, and portfolio use cases.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to investors and financial advisor partners to educate on 1031 exchanges, DSTs, and 721 UPREIT strategies.
