Job summary

Right at Home Cleveland West is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with an active Med Cert 3 to join our in-home care team. You will assist seniors and vulnerable adults with ADLs, administer medications per care plans, and support mobility and safety in the home.

Maintain compassionate, patient-focused care, document activities, and communicate with families and the care team. A valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Active Med Cert 3 certification is required.
• Experience in direct care or caregiving preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass background checks.
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Provide personal care and support with ADLs.
• Administer and manage medications per care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Administer and manage client medications in accordance with Med Cert 3 authorization and care plans.
• Support clients with mobility needs, including gait belt and Hoyer lift use when required.
• Provide companion care, emotional support, and supervision to ensure client safety.
• Perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, and home support tasks.
• Monitor and report any changes in client condition, behavior, or health status.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care team.
• Follow all agency policies, documentation standards, and individualized care plans.
