Job summary

Right at Home Cleveland West is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with an active Med Cert 3 to join our compassionate team. You will provide personal care, administer medications per care plans, assist with mobility, and offer companionship to seniors and vulnerable adults in their homes.

Ideal candidates have Med Cert 3, caregiving experience, a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Med Cert 3 required.
• Experience in direct care or caregiving preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass background checks.
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Administer and manage client medications in accordance with Med Cert 3 authorization and care plans.
• Support clients with mobility needs, including gait belt and Hoyer lift use when required.
• Provide companion care, emotional support, and supervision to ensure client safety.
• Perform light housekeeping, meal preparation, and home support tasks.
• Monitor and report any changes in client condition, behavior, or health status.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care team.
• Follow all agency policies, documentation standards, and individualized care plans.
