Job summary

Rimland seeks an organized DSP Team Manager for First Shift in Des Plaines. You will mentor Direct Support Professionals, oversee client wellbeing, and ensure care standards across Rimland programs.

Responsibilities include evaluating DSP performance, coordinating trainings, and supporting new client transitions. The role requires active registry as a DD-Aide in Illinois, AED/CPR/First Aid instructor certifications, and the ability to drive to multiple Rimland locations.

Qualifications

• You must be listed in the Illinois Health Care Worker Registry as a 'DD-Aide' and maintain this certification and re-trainings including AED/CPR/First Aid.
• Pass fingerprint background check and child abuse/neglect checks; drug screen required.
• Original documentation showing high school completion or equivalent; proof of identity and work eligibility in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on guidance for Direct Support Professionals and individuals living in Rimland programs.
• Monitor, document, and provide feedback on client goals to support the QIDP Department.
• Visit potential new clients to assess fit within Rimland community; assist with move-in orientation and procure supplies.
• Procure funding for client outings as needed; ensure CILAs meet Rimland safety and care standards.
• Conduct DSP trainings (e.g., on-the-job training) and evaluate DSPs per Merit Based Pay Standards.
• Perform random and overnight inspections; conduct monthly evacuation drills; order food as needed.
