Rimland in Des Plaines, IL is seeking professionals to mentor Direct Support Professionals and support adults with developmental disabilities. You will provide hands-on guidance to DSPs and ensure safety and wellbeing across Rimland programs.

You will visit potential new clients, assist with move-in orientation, organize supplies, and coordinate outings funding. Training DSPs and evaluating staff per Rimland’s merit standards are key parts of the role, with schedule rotations and full-time

Qualificações

• Must pass fingerprint background check.
• Must pass child abuse and neglect checks.
• Must pass an 11-panel drug screen.
• Provide proof of high school completion or equivalent.
• Residency for the past 2 years.
• Legal work eligibility in the United States.
• Two verifiable employment references within the last 3 years.

Base rate: $27.60/hour

About the Position

Rimland seeks professionals who are detail oriented, accountable, and enjoy mentoring others. You will provide hands-on guidance for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and the many individuals who call Rimland 'home'. Some of your responsibilities include:

Support the wellbeing of the individuals within Rimland's programs

• Monitor, document, and provide feedback on client goals to support the QIDP Department
• Visit potential new clients to assess their potential fit within the Rimland community
• Assist with new client orientation by organizing move-in transitions such as procuring bedding, clothing, and hygiene supplies
• Procure funding for client outings as needed

Ensure CILAs are up to Rimland's safety and care standards

• Perform random and overnight inspections
• Conduct monthly evacuation drills
• Order food as needed

Provide training and guidance for DSPs

• Conduct DSP trainings such as OJT training
• Evaluate DSPs per Rimland's Merit Based Pay Standards

Other duties as assigned

Location & Schedule

Location: Des Plaines

Schedule: This schedule changes on a quarterly basis. The hours remain the same, but the days of the week change.

Example:

January - March: Monday - Friday, 12AM - 8AM

April - June: Tuesday - Saturday, 12AM - 8AM

July - September: Wednesday - Sunday, 12AM - 8AM

October - December: Thursday - Monday, 12AM - 8AM

Requirements

You must meet the following requirements:

Pass:

A fingerprint criminal background check

A child abuse and neglect check

A 11-panel drug screen. This tests for: amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cocaine, methadone, methamphetamine, methaqualone, opiates, and PCP, THC, Alcohol).

Provide:

An original document (no photocopies) showing high school completion or high school equivalency. Examples include: High school diploma, GED certificate, college transcript

Residency for the past 2 years

Current & original documents that verify your identity & ability to legally work in the United States

Two verifiable employment references within the last 3 years
