Job summary

Rimland seeks a DSP Team Manager for the first shift in Des Plaines, IL. You will mentor Direct Support Professionals, guide client goals, and ensure Rimland’s safety and care standards across programs. Responsibilities include client orientation, move-ins, and organizing funding for outings, with regular DSP training and evaluation.

The role emphasizes leadership, attention to detail, and dedication to Rimland’s mission. This is a full-time, on-site position with rotating quarterly schedules.

Qualifications

• Must be listed in the Illinois Health Care Worker Registry as a DD-Aide.
• AED/CPR/First Aid instructor certifications required.
• Must have a vehicle for driving to Rimland locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on guidance for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
• Monitor and document client goals to support the QIDP Department.
• Visit potential new clients to assess fit within Rimland community.
• Assist with new client orientation and move-in transitions.
• Order food and procure funding for client outings as needed.
• Conduct DSP trainings such as OJT and evaluate DSPs per merit standards.
