Rimland seeks a DSP Team Manager for the Des Plaines, IL area, overseeing Direct Support Professionals and client care. The role emphasizes mentoring, guiding staff, and ensuring quality of care across Rimland’s programs.

Qualifications

• Must have a vehicle for driving to Rimland locations.
• Listed in the Illinois Health Care Worker Registry as a DD-Aide.
• AED/CPR/First Aid instructor certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on guidance for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and the individuals Rimland serves.
• Monitor and document client goals to support the QIDP Department.
• Visit potential new clients to assess fit within the Rimland community.
• Assist with new client orientation and move-in transitions ( bedding, clothing, hygiene supplies ).
• Procure funding for client outings as needed.
• Ensure CILAs meet Rimland safety and care standards (random/overnight inspections; monthly evacuation drills).
• Provide training for DSPs (e.g., OJT training) and evaluate DSPs per Merit Based Pay Standards.
