Catholic Charities of Baltimore seeks a Direct Support Professional to help adults with developmental disabilities live vibrant, independent lives. You’ll build trusted relationships and provide personalized support honoring each person’s strengths, choices, and goals.

This Gallagher Services program emphasizes dignity and independence, with a culture rooted in compassion and respect. Weekend shifts include weekend daytime hours and meaningful community activities for residents.

Formación

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid driver’s license with 2 years of driving experience and no more than 3 points
• Able to drive agency vehicles and assist people who use wheelchairs
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds, stand for long periods, and provide physical assistance
• Completion of Medication Technician Training or willingness to complete

JOB SUMMARY:

As a Direct Support Professional, you’ll build trusted relationships and provide personalized support that honors each person’s strengths, choices, and goals. Whether it’s celebrating small wins, encouraging independence, or simply being present, you’ll be part of the moments that truly matter.

At Gallagher Services - a Catholic Charities program, we believe that every person deserves a life filled with meaning, independence, and relationships that matter. We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) who values people for who they are and is excited to walk alongside adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they engage in the activities they love and pursue their goals.

Work Schedule:

Saturday and Sunday 9 AM - 9 PM

A Day in the Life:

You’ll spend your days assisting with care to a group of people who enjoy:

• Watching movies
• Reading books
• Going to festivals
• Going on trips
• Go Shopping
• Watching Cartoons

This group is looking for someone who is kind, dependable, a good communicator, and most of all—someone who enjoys spending time with them. If you’re someone who takes joy in building real connections and being present in the moment, you’ll thrive here.

How You’ll Support:

• Support with daily routines such as bathing, dressing, and personal care in a way that promotes dignity, independence, and choice.
