The Young Adult Institute, Inc. is hiring a Direct Support Professional - Registered Behavior Technician (DSP-RBT) in Southampton, NJ. The role provides direct support to individuals with IDD, implementing behavior support plans and ensuring safety, dignity, and quality of life.

You will assist with daily living activities, documentation in electronic records, and collaboration with the care team. The position is full-time, on-site, with compensation of $20.50 per hour and opportunities for

Qualifications

HS diploma or its educational equivalent.
Valid Driver’s License may be required based on position/location.
Must hold or obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within one year of appointment.
Basic written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer skills – including email, utilizing Workday and related systems.
Interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Ability to meet essential physical demands of position.

Responsibilities

Provide supervision, protection, and care of the individual at all times per house rules and behavior support plans.
Assist with implementing Individual Behavior Support Plans (IBSPs)/IPPs and protective oversight.
Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care; support health and safety.
Administer medications as prescribed according to guidelines.
Support learning, skill development, and meaningful community engagement.
Document data and progress in electronic health records; complete required paperwork accurately.
