Job summary

YAI - Seeing beyond disability is seeking a Direct Support Professional - Registered Behavior Technician (DSP-RBT) for our West Milford location. The role focuses on supervising, assisting with ADLs, medication administration, and implementing individualized plans to promote safety, learning, and personal growth.

The position requires HS diploma or equivalent and an RBT certification within one year of appointment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or its educational equivalent.
• Must hold or obtain RBT certification within one year of appointment.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and protect individuals at all times and enforce house rules.
• Support individuals according to IBSPs/IPPs and person-centered plans.
• Assist with ADLs, personal care, and medication administration per guidelines.
• Aid in meals planning and preparation and transportation as needed.
• Document progress notes and data in electronic health records and communicate with supervisors.
