Job summary

YAI - Seeing beyond disability in West Milford, NJ is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional - Registered Behavior Technician (DSP-RBT). You will supervise and care for individuals, follow individualized plans, and support daily living activities with dignity and respect.

Under supervision, you will implement Behavior Support Plans, collect data, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and help individuals achieve personal goals in a safe, inclusive community setting.

Qualifications

HS diploma or educational equivalent.
Valid driver’s license may be required, based on position/location.
Must obtain RBT certification within one year of appointment.
Basic written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer skills – including email, utilizing Workday and related systems to complete tasks.
Interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Ability to meet essential physical demands of position including lifting, standing, walking, and moving individuals with assistance.

Responsibilities

Supervise and care for individuals at all times, maintaining safety and house rules.
Provide support per Individual Behavior Support Plans (IBSPs)/IPPs.
Assist with daily living activities and medication administration as prescribed.
Teach/develop skills and facilitate learning and independence.
Collaborate with team and family to ensure quality of care and advocacy.
Maintain documentation, reporting, and data collection as required.
