Job summary

Community Resources for Independence, Inc. is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) and Personal Care Assistant (PCA) caregivers to support individuals with IDD in the Mifflintown, McAlisterville, and Richfield areas.

You will provide companionship, assist with daily activities, and help clients participate in community engagements while maintaining dignity and respect. Training is provided, with flexible shifts and ongoing mentorship.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with reliable vehicle and current auto insurance.
• Must pass background checks and be willing to participate in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Support IDD individuals in achieving goals outlined in their Service Plan.
• Participate in community integration activities and social engagements with clients.
• Provide companionship and engage in activities, such as reading and taking walks.
• Accompany clients to appointments when necessary.
• Engage in team meetings to discuss the client's progress.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment through light housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with clients, families, and other professionals to ensure that each individual's needs and preferences are met with respect and dignity.
• Effective communication and empathy are vital for building strong, trusting relationships with those you support.
