Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide individualized support to adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Statesville, North Carolina. The role requires driving to accompany patients in the community to help them achieve personal goals, foster independence, and participate in social, recreational, educational, and vocational activities.

Hourly pay ranges from $16 to $17 per hour, with weekly paychecks and a benefits package

Qualifications

• NCI Training
• CPR/FA
• High school diploma or GED required
• TB screening
• Active driver’s license
• Experience with individuals with IDD is a plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in English
• Documentation via mobile devices

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal prep, and household chores
• May transport clients to and from community activities

Maxim Healthcare is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide individualized support to adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role requires driving and accompanying patients throughout the community to help them achieve their short-term and long-term personal goals. DSPs serve as mentors, advocates, and life coaches by fostering independence, teaching life skills, promoting community engagement, and supporting meaningful participation in social, recreational, educational, and vocational activities. This role requires that you are comfortable transporting patients, encouraging personal growth, and creating opportunities that enhance quality of life and overall independence.

Hourly Pay: 16-17/hr Weekly

Location: Statesville
