Job summary

Community Access Services is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in Saint Helens, Oregon. This part-time role pays an hourly wage of $21.75–$22.75 with a $500 hiring bonus.

Paid training, predictable scheduling, and career growth opportunities help you build a meaningful career supporting individuals with IDD to live independently and engage with their communities. No prior DSP experience is required; training is provided to help you succeed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license required for all day-shift and swing-shift positions, with the ability to meet company approved driver requirements.
• Ability to pass a national background check.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and assist with mobility support as needed.
• Willingness to complete required training and follow established safety procedures and individualized support plans.

Responsibilities

• Daily Living Support: Assist with personal care, hygiene, dressing, meal prep, and household tasks.
• Community Engagement: Support participation in recreational activities and outings.
• Independence and Life Skills: Help individuals develop practical skills and confidence.
• Person-Centered Support: Encourage self-advocacy and informed choice.
• Medication Support: Provide medication assistance or administration per procedures.
• Documentation and Communication: Record services and observe changes per procedures.
• Team Collaboration: Work with coworkers, supervisors, families and support networks.
• Respect and Confidentiality: Maintain professional boundaries and safety.
