Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota in Minnesota seeks a Direct Support Professional - Lead Float to support individuals in developing lifelong goals and independence, engaging with their natural support networks and community involvement.

You will assist with essential life skills, advocate for individuals, and maintain documentation, with required trainings and meetings. Driving and overnight trips may be part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience working with vulnerable populations required.
• Medication administration training may be obtained after hire.
• First Aid/CPR training may be required (after hire).
• Background check clearance required.
• Driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Ability to read, write, and use a computer.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to develop their natural support network.
• Assist with life skills: meal prep, personal hygiene, medication administration, cleaning, laundry.
• Drive or accompany individuals on events and possibly overnight trips.
• Complete necessary documentation and participate in required trainings and meetings.
