Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota in Rochester, MN is seeking a temporary Direct Support Professional (DSP) Lead to develop and monitor individual plans and ensure documentation is complete and accurate. You will monitor client files, maintain safety, and participate in required meetings and trainings.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, addressing safety concerns, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED or experience working with vulnerable populations required.
• Experience and/or training of at least one year with individuals with disabilities required.
• Medication administration training when required (may be obtained after hire).
• First Aid training if required and CPR Certificate (may be obtained after hire).
• Mental Health Certification or other related certification may be required (may be obtained after hire).
• Background Study (BGS) clearance is required.
• Driver's license required.
• Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) with a satisfactory driving record required.
• Ability to read, write and use computer required.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills required.
• Ability to recognize boundaries.
• Ability to suggest and implement strategies to enhance the service.
• Computer skills that support LSS technology.
• Patience, self-control, and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• As a temporary Direct Support Professional (DSP) Lead, assist in development and monitoring of individual plans and monitor client files for completeness and accuracy.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment by noting safety hazards and maintenance needs for the site and vehicles; address unsafe situations.
• Maintain documentation, perform record keeping, and participate in periodic meetings/trainings according to regulations.
