The New York Foundling seeks a DSP II to work in medical and behavioral settings, implementing and maintaining treatment plans for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will support the Assistant Manager and Residence Manager daily, ensuring supervision, health, and safety for residents and fostering community integration.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, NADSP certification within probation, and state driver’s licenses.

Formación

• High School Diploma required; NADSP certification within probation
• Driver's license with 6 or fewer points across NY/PA/CT/NJ
• Effective verbal and written communication and problem-solving
• Knowledge of developmental disabilities and regulatory requirements
• Strong organizational skills and professional conduct
• Teamwork and safety-focused approach
• Experience with clinical staff and documentation
• Commitment to HIPAA privacy and confidentiality

Responsabilidades

• Assist daily living activities and mobility support for residents
• Implement and monitor behavioral and medical plans with supervision
• Maintain accurate service records and incident reports
• Ensure compliance with OPWDD, Justice Center, and COA standards
• Support community inclusion and participation in activities
• Participate in Life Plan Meetings and oversight documents
• Assist with care coordination and emergencies as needed
• Transport residents to appointments and activities
