Job summary

HIT, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with disabilities in group homes across western North Dakota. You will help residents build independence, follow service plans, and contribute to a home where everyone is valued and respected.

Training will prepare you for medication technician duties and CPR/First Aid certifications. We offer health, dental & vision insurance, HSA/FSA options, paid time off and holidays, retirement plan with 401(k) match after one

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preference is given to those with experience in developmental disabilities.
• Knowledge to perform ordinary household functions.
• Good observation skills and relate observations accurately, both verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of basic computer operations.

As a DSP, you'll help people build independence, navigate daily life, follow individualized service plans, and create a home where everyone feels valued and respected.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Requires knowledge and skill equivalent to the completion of a high school diploma. Preference is given to those with work experience in the field of developmental disabilities.

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE

Must have knowledge and skills necessary to perform ordinary household functions.

Must possess good observation skills and relate observations accurately, both verbally and in writing.

Must have the knowledge and skills necessary to perform basic computer operations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Will meet and maintain the required certifications to become a medication technician and CPR, First Aid as required for the position.
