Job summary

Melody Cares in Stillwater, MN is seeking a compassionate part-time caregiver to provide direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor health needs under nurse supervision, and ensure residents' rights are respected in a safe, clean home environment.

This role offers biweekly pay, a flexible schedule with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday morning shifts, and benefits including dental, health and vision insurance, PTO, and a referral

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Compassion and a desire to help others.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Valid US driverress license?
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
• Previous experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Knowledge of resident rights and person-centered care approach.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect privacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Administer medication and monitor vital signs under the supervision of a nurse.
• Implement individualized care plans and ensure resident rights are respected.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment.
• Provide companionship and engage individuals in recreational activities.
