Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD. The role involves assisting with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently.

This is a rewarding, mission-driven position in Shallotte, NC. Responsibilities include building relationships, helping with meals, hygiene, and household tasks, facilitating community activities, and documenting progress.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving or support roles is helpful but not required.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
• Ability to follow care plans and directions from supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
• Maintain flexible schedules (full-time and part-time opportunities).
• Support WEEKLY pay processes and participate in bonus opportunities.
