Job summary

Abound Health in Calabash, NC is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD, helping with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to promote independence.

As a DSP, you will build relationships, assist with meals, hygiene, and household tasks, support community involvement and learning, and monitor health and safety. Flexible full‑time and part‑time schedules with weekly pay and paid onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties (case managers, etc.) as needed
• Complete documentation and maintaining schedules
• Complete ongoing training and professional development
