Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD in Shallotte, NC. As a DSP you will assist with ADLs, community participation and behavioral support to help clients live independently.

We offer flexible schedules, weekly pay, paid onboarding & training, a $1,000 signing bonus and opportunities for advancement. Prior experience is not required; paid training is provided for new DSPs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license with current auto insurance and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal, driving and healthcare registry checks.
• Experience with disabilities not required; paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Build rapport and support individuals to achieve personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities (meals, hygiene, household tasks).
• Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Encourage independence and skill development.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with team, families, and case managers as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
