Job summary

The Arc Mid Hudson seeks a Direct Support Professional for its Day Hab Without Walls Kingston Region Community Day Hab. You will provide support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in small community groups and build local volunteer connections.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED (post-secondary Human Services is a plus), a NYS driver’s license, and basic computer knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is desired.
• Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus.
• An acceptable NYS driver’s license and basic computer knowledge are a must.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in small group settings within the community.
• Take initiative to make community connections for volunteer opportunities for the people supported.
