Job summary

Morning Star Personal Care Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for two location options in Georgia.

The roles include Weekday Evening shifts in Decatur and Weekend shifts in Lilburn; both require dependable, compassionate individuals to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will work as part of a team, providing person-centered services, maintaining documentation, promoting independence and safety, and collaborating with families and support teams

Qualifications

• Must meet all education, experience, certification, background, and training requirements applicable to the position.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Dependable, professional, compassionate, and committed to providing high-quality services.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centered services in accordance with each individual's needs and service plan.
• Promote independence, choice, dignity, safety, and community involvement.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation as required for the position.
• Follow Morning Star policies, procedures, training requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
• Communicate professionally with individuals, coworkers, supervisors, families/guardians, and other members of the individual's support team.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect the privacy of the individuals we serve.
• Complete required training, meetings, and ongoing professional development.
• Maintain dependable attendance and arrive on time and prepared to work the full scheduled shift.
• Perform additional responsibilities appropriate to the position as assigned.
