Job summary

United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in day-to-day activities in Buford, GA. DSPs provide transportation, personal care, meal preparation, and participation in social activities while tailoring support to individual needs.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, organizational and teamwork skills, and are comfortable using Therap and Relias platforms to document care and progress.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides transportation and supervision for individuals to meet activities.
• Performs vehicle safety checks and training for safe transport.
• Performs housekeeping including kitchens, bathrooms, windows and floors.
• Maintains meals per dietary guidelines and safe food handling.
• Provides personal care support and assistance with ADLs.
• Completes documentation in Therap and other systems.
• Monitors ISP goals and progress and updates records.
• Conducts safety drills and health-related observations.
• Assists in planning person-centered outings and activities.
• Tracks health-related information and reports concerns.
• Learns and follows all policies and laws; attends required trainings.
