Job summary

Inspiritus in Rossville, GA seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to deliver in-home care and training to individuals with developmental disabilities. The role supports daily living, health, safety, and community participation, with a person-centered approach and emphasis on respect and independence.

Part-time, daytime schedule, Monday–Friday 2pm-6pm or 2pm-7pm; travel to client homes and community locations; requires high school diploma, valid GA driver’s license and background clearances.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current Georgia driver’s license.
• Current vehicle insurance.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Report.
• Dependable vehicle.
• FBI criminal background clearance.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Have or be able to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Ability to successfully complete behavior support training.
• Ability to work professionally in home and community settings with clients and their families.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with clients, family members, Inspiritus personnel at all levels, and community members.
• Ability to understand and maintain confidentiality requirements.
• The position requires frequent movement including walking, bending, reaching, squatting, sitting, pushing, and pulling throughout a work shift.
• Ensure compliance with agency, local, state, and federal policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
