Job summary

United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide day-to-day support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Tucker, GA. This full-time role involves assisting with personal care, transportation, meals, and activities, while promoting independence and individual goals.

DSPs work closely with residents to implement individual plans, document progress, and ensure safety, following agency policies and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Must have valid driver’s license, CPR/FA.

Responsibilities

• Provides transportation and supervision for individuals as required to meet employment, recreational and leisure activities.
• Performs housekeeping responsibilities including kitchens, bathrooms, windows, bedrooms, and floors.
• Provides personal care support including changing, dressing and other ADLs.
• Completes documentation using Therap system and other programs.
• Ensures goals are being completed according to ISP and conducts relevant health monitoring.
• Administers meds to residents following MAR entries and tracks vital signs as needed.
