Job summary

DDM is seeking a Direct Support Professional to support residents in daily living and participate in community integration. Position available in Lithonia, GA with two shifts: weekday 1pm-9pm (Full Time) and PRN (Part Time). Pay rates are $15/hour for Full Time and $14/hour for Part Time.

Candidates must meet licensing requirements and maintain person-centered care. Responsibilities include documentation, attending trainings, and ensuring safety and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED; bring diploma.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Background check, TB test, and physician’s statement required.
• Basic computer skills.
• Writing and documentation skills required.
• Experience or training in Developmental Disabilities, Mental Health, Special Education, or Social Services is a plus.
• Able to lift and assist residents as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support residents in daily living per ISP and skill levels.
• Observe and follow agency and state policies.
• Attend staff trainings and meetings.
• Demonstrate person-centered service and proper documentation.
• Maintain resident records and electronic health records.
• Manage petty cash and residents' personal funds.
• Prepare meals according to menus and food labeling.
• Ensure confidentiality under HIPAA and protect residents' rights.
• Report safety concerns and coordinate with supervisors.
