Job summary

Indera is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in the Baldwinsville area with a woman in her late-20’s who has Autism and anxiety. She and her family will provide new hires training on how to redirect her when she is experiencing high levels of anxiety.

The individual is looking for a dedicated staff to assist her with increasing her independence both at home and in community settings. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting with finding activities in the

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Flexibility with assignments and schedule.
• Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
• Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with finding activities in the community to do.
• Light housekeeping.
• Assist with walking her dog.
• Meal preparation.
• Encourage exercise and participation in activities to help her come out of her shell.
