Job summary

Indera (formerly ARISE/EFR) is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in the Jamesville area with a young man in his mid-20’s. The role focuses on increasing independence, socialization, activity participation, and safety skills in the community. The candidate should be reliable, patient, and enthusiastic.

Prior experience is a plus but training is provided. A valid driver’s license and transportation required, and candidates will undergo background and DMV checks.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Effective communication and organizational skills required.
• Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
• Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
• Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.

Responsibilities

• Support individual in Jamesville to increase independence and socialization.
• Assist with activities such as baseball, swimming, skiing, bowling, and YMCA visits.
• Communicate with ASL and some English to support daily activities.
