Job summary

Indera in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support a young man who enjoys fitness and social activities.

The DSP will drive him to gym, mall, parks and stores, assist in home and community activities, and participate alongside him to promote independence and routine. This is a part-time role with opportunities for additional hours; a HS diploma or GED and a valid license are required, with background check and DMV screens conducted before hire.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Background check, fingerprinting and DMV check will be conducted prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Drive the individual to gym, mall, parks and stores and participate alongside him.
• Assist in home and community activities and support routines for independence.
• Maintain firm, understanding, and active engagement with the individual.
