Career Opportunities with Catholic Charities, Diocese of Paterson invites applicants for Direct Support Professional roles in the Department for Persons with Disabilities (DPD). You will support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in group homes, assisting with personal care, daily living activities, and medication administration.

This part-time overnight position requires teamwork, a HS diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, CPR/First Aid readiness, and successful

• Be motivated to work as part of a team that acts in the best interest of our residents at all times.
• Experience with IDDD population is a plus.
• This career requires HS diploma or equivalent.
• A valid non provisional drivers license.
• The ability to meet the physical requirements of CPR.
• First Aid and our emergency evacuation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Direct care to meet personal health, safety and welfare of residents.
• Assist and/or supervise in bathing, toileting, cleaning, cooking and life skills.
• Administer and/or assist with medication administration.
• Drive residents to/from day programs outside within their community using agency vehicles.
• Daily documentation of services provided.
• Assist with fun community based activities.

24 hours per week Monday Friday Saturday & Sunday 3pm 9pm
