Job summary

Department for Persons with Disabilities in Tennessee seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals and Residential Counselors to support adults with IDDD in group homes. You will assist with personal care, daily living skills, medication administration, and community activities, while maintaining daily documentation and communicating with the team.

Qualifications

• Experience with IDDD population is a plus.
• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to meet CPR/First Aid and emergency evacuation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist and/or supervise individuals in personal care areas (bathing/toileting).
• Participate and/or supervise cleaning, cooking and life skills.
• Administer and/or assist with medication administration.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers and individuals living in the homes.
• Drive residents to/from day programs and community activities using agency vehicles.
• Daily documentation of services provided.
• Assist with fun community-based activities.
