Job summary

ViaQuest, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in Bridgeport, Ohio. The role involves providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in facilities and home settings, with comprehensive training provided.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable vehicle and valid OH driver's license with liability insurance.
• MVR must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria (no OVI/DUI, etc).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting independence and safety.
• Supervise, teach and assist individuals in daily activities.
• Perform household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Provide personal care assistance.

At ViaQuest Residential Services our DSPs provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in intermediate care facilities and their homes. Training for this position is provided in its entirety so no experience is required.

Requirements for this position include:

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Personal, reliable vehicle that you're willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record Must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria
  • No OVI/DUI's, reckless operations, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over posted limit
  • No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years or more than 5 points
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.
• Personal vehicle to transport individuals is required
