Job summary

ViaQuest Residential Services is hiring DSPs to support individuals with developmental disabilities in intermediate care facilities and their homes in Cleveland, OH and surrounding areas. Training is provided entirely, so no experience is required.

The role offers paid training, a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, PTO, premium holiday pay, mileage reimbursement and opportunities for career advancement. A variety of schedules are available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Motor Vehicle Record must specific requirements including (but not limited to): No OVI/DUI's, reckless operations, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over posted limit.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years or more than 5 points.
• Reliable vehicle with active insurance.
• Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and assist individuals as needed.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Providing personal care assistance.
• Companion care / Caregiving
