Job summary

ViaQuest, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in the Strongsville, OH area. This entry-level position offers paid training (including CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration) and a path into healthcare.

As a DSP you will support individuals with developmental disabilities at home, help with daily living tasks, provide personal care, and promote independence and safety. A driver’s license is required and full-time benefits are available.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria.
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.
• Personal vehicle to transport individuals is required.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities with health and safety in mind.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of life.
• Completing household tasks including meals and maintaining a clean, safe living environment.
• Providing personal care assistance.
• Companion care / caregiving.

At ViaQuest ICFs, our DSPs provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. Training for this position is provided in its entirety so no experience is required!
