Job summary

ViaQuest, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in residential facilities and client homes around Cleveland, Ohio. Training is provided in full, so no prior experience is required and you’ll join a supportive team.

Earn $17.50–$18.50 per hour with paid training, full benefits for eligible staff, PTO, mileage reimbursement and opportunities for advancement as you grow in the IDD field in a caring, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Providing personal care assistance.
• Companion care / Caregiving.

At ViaQuest Residential Services our DSPs provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in intermediate care facilities and their homes. Training for this position is provided in its entirety so no experience is required.

Requirements for this position include:

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Personal, reliable vehicle that you're willing and able to use to transport individuals served.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Motor Vehicle Record Must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.
• Personal vehicle to transport individuals is required
