Job summary

ViaQuest, Inc. is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in Ohio. The role involves providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting independence and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Experience in developmental disabilities or direct care preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – foster independence, choice and empowerment while ensuring health and safety.
• Administer site training to new hires.
• Assist with shift coverage as needed.
• Supervise, teach and assist individuals in all aspects of life.
• Complete various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Provide personal care assistance.
• Companion care / caregiving

• Motor Vehicle Record Must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.
• Experience in the field of developmental disabilities or direct care is preferred but not required.
