Job summary

The Arc of the Ozarks is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities build independence and life skills.

You will assist with daily routines, community activities, and personal development, including meal prep, hygiene, budgeting, and basic health support as needed. Paid training and ongoing professional development are provided.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Patient, dependable, and willing to learn.
• Comfortable working hands-on with individuals and supporting goals.
• Committed to treating people with dignity, respect, and compassion.
• Eligible to obtain a Missouri Class E Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support with daily routines, household tasks, and community activities.
• Support development of independent living skills (cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene).
• Assist with medications and basic healthcare needs as certified.
• Document progress and communicate with the team about person-centered goals.
• Promote safety, advocacy, and community participation for individuals served.
