Job summary

One Vision is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Mason City, IA for a front-end schedule consisting of three 12-hour shifts. You will work Sundays plus two days between Monday and Wednesday, totaling 36 hours per week with four days off.

No prior healthcare experience is required; paid training and tools are provided to help you succeed, supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live life on their terms.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and assist with mobility as needed.
• Ability to use basic technology for electronic documentation.
• Must complete required background checks and health screenings.
• Must complete required training and certifications, provided by One Vision.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily activities such as cooking, personal care, laundry, and household tasks.
• Help individuals build independence and confidence.
• Attend community outings, appointments, and events.
• Provide transportation using approved vehicles.
• Assist with medications according to training and procedures.
• Support grocery shopping and personal finances.
• Complete electronic documentation.
• Build positive, meaningful relationships with the people you support.
