Hope Network / Garden Cove is seeking a Direct Support Professional for the 3rd shift in Michigan. You will support individuals in daily living, health management, and community integration, with a focus on safety and respectful collaboration.

The role requires empathy, reliability, and professionalism, plus a valid Michigan driver’s license, CPR/First Aid, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Flexible weekend/holiday shifts are included, with comprehensive benefits and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Shift Full-Time / Part Time including weekends and holidays.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety 24/7 with various check patterns.
• Assist in crisis prevention, intervention, and resolution.
• Build trust through consistent, meaningful communication.
• Foster partnerships with individuals served and the community.
• Support problem-solving, communication, and independence skills.
• Assist with social/leisure activities and community participation.
• Assist with activities of daily living (mobility, dressing, bathing, cooking).
• Monitor vitals and report health changes to the care team.
• Attend medical appointments and relay information accurately.
• Read and implement care plans; document timely and descriptively.
