Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Direct Support Professional to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their home and community, helping them reach personal goals and improve quality of life.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, potential transport to activities, documenting progress, and promoting independence in a safe, supportive environment. The role offers weekday/weekend shifts with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• TB screening.
• Active driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience with individuals with IDD a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and English proficiency.
• NCI/CPI training.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal prep, and household chores.
• May transport clients to and from community activities.
• Support individuals in achieving developmental goals and fostering independence.
• Encourage community participation and accompany individuals on outings and social activities.
• Document observations and progress on specific goals and ensure a safe environment for clients.
