Job summary

Dungarvin is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver in Indiana to provide direct support to individuals with disabilities, helping them live independently and with dignity. A valid driver’s license is required for transportation, and multiple shifts are available with a wage of $15.75 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals served.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as mobility, dressing, bathing, toileting, and personal hygiene.

Job Description

What You Get To Do:

Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver provides direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities. The ultimate goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene and more.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required (due to transporting persons served)
• Candidates must be comfortable driving to transport persons served as required
  • Some positions/locations may require your own personal vehicle and auto liability insurance based on the role
