Job summary

Dungarvin Indiana is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) caregiver to provide direct support, positive direction, and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The goal is to empower individuals to live as independently as possible while maintaining dignity and respect.

You will perform hands-on tasks, assist with daily living activities, ensure safety, and collaborate with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license required (due to transporting persons served).
• Some positions may require own vehicle and auto liability insurance.
• Person-centered, patient, and kind.
• Dependable, adaptable, flexible.
• Good communication to document care and follow support plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene and more.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.
