Job summary

Dungarvin in Indiana is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver. The role provides direct support, positive direction, and assistance to individuals with developmental and medical needs, helping them live as independently as possible while honoring dignity.

The position requires a valid driver's license for transporting individuals served; the wage is $15.75 per hour. Full-time employees receive medical, vision, and dental insurance, paid training, PTO, and other benefits;

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver's license required for transporting persons served.
• Background clearance or screening may be required.
• Ability to read, write, and document care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure comfort, safety, and personal growth of individuals served.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Assist with daily living activities such as mobility, dressing, bathing, and toileting.

Job Description

What You Get To Do:

ADirect Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiverprovides direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities. The ultimate goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene and more.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be comfortable driving to transport persons servedas required
  • Some positions/locations may require your own personal vehicle and auto liability insurance based on the role
