Job summary

Dungarvin is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) caregiver to provide direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex medical needs. The role focuses on empowering independence with dignity and respect in a supportive team environment.

The DSP will offer hands-on guidance, monitor safety and personal growth, and help with daily living tasks in a mission-driven setting that values person-centered

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Valid drivers license
• Comfortable driving to transport persons served
• Person-centered, patient and kind
• Dependable, adaptable and flexible
• Observant and detail oriented
• Good communication for documenting care and collaborating with team
• Successful background clearance required during onboarding

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring and guidance to individuals served.
• Ensure the comfort, safety and personal growth of the individuals served.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as moving, getting in/out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting and personal hygiene.

The ultimate goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene and more.

Qualifications
